The 5 ancient Aztec tribes have guarded our world for hundreds of years, sealing a malicious lost soul for eternity. Over time, the descendants of these tribes have forgotten their roots, losing the old ways and assimilating into the modern world.



BUT soon the call of the old spirits will awaken the new generation to their duties once more...





TEPEY

​​The tribe of Tepey resided among the mountains and jungles of Peru. These fierce tribesmen are blessed with great physical strength, Like their namesake, the tribesmen are followers of the ancient Aztec hero Tepeyollotl (heart of the mountains) - the mythical god of earthquakes, echoes and jaguars. Tepeyollotl has bestowed upon his followers the ancient magic of earth.

These descendants of the tribe of Tepey have a great passion for extreme sports. TLALOC



Tribesmen from Tlaloc were found by rivers, lakes and seas across Peru. This agile and lithe tribe is full of honour. The hero they follow is Tlaloc, a mythical god of rain, thunder and earthquakes. As the lord of the element of water, his followers have been granted the ancient magic powers of water.



Today, the descendants of the tribe Tlaloc can be found in the group called Smu Sports Union (SSU). Sportsmanship, pride, honour; the vibrant energy can be felt from all members of SSU. If you're looking for action and team spirit, come visit the wide array of clubs SSU has to offer!

QUEZTZA

​​Queztza's tribesmen are the foundation of the five tribes - the root of all knowledge and the source of all power. The hero Queztza is known for wisdom, knowledge and granting life. The ancient blessing of authority has been given unto these tribespeople. 



Descendants of Tribe Queztza have now formed the various faculty societies around SMU. Under the SMU Students' Association (SMUSA), the tribesmen have also formed BONDUE (representing the School of Business),  ASoc (representing the School of Accountancy), SISS (representing the School of Information Systems), Oikos (representing the School of Economics), The Bar (representing the School of Law) and Sosciety (representing the School of Social Sciences). ITZLI​


​​The tribe of Itzli are an inquisitive and daring group, constantly seeking answers to questions they know not, and exploring the unknown. Their characteristics are derived from the hero Itzli - persevering and hardy. Under the mystical charms of Itzli, these tribesmen have the power of flint



Today, the descendants of tribe Itzli call themselves SICS (Special Interest & Community Service Solidality). These tribespeople are highly dedicated to their various hobbies and have turned their interests into an art. They're also a friendly bunch, eager to help others and serve the community at large. From wine tasting to public speaking to baking for the elderly, find out more about the plethora of activities going on in SICS!

CHANTICO

​​People said that the Chantico tribe members were so passionate about what they did that they seemed to be burning within. These tribesmen had great grace, zest, and a love for the finer details of life. Their hero Chantico was represented by volcanoes and fire, and likewise, bestowed upon her people the power of flames.

​

Even though time has passed and Chantico tribe descendants are now known as Arts & Cultural Fraternity (ACF), their passion for their art still runs deep. Boasting of 25 different Art clubs, you can surely find a way to express yourself in one of these clubs. Try something new and live your life to the fullest!
